MEET YOUR GUIDE
Real gear, tested the way you actually use it
No sponsored fluff, no spec-sheet guesswork. Just honest field testing from passionate people.
The outdoors is our passion and we love researching, testing, and sharing our findings about the gear that helps facilitate experiencing and enjoying the outdoors. If our testing leads to you finding the perfect sleeping pad to get a good night’s sleep or a pack that is perfect for the type of backpacking you do, then we have done our job. We want to save you time and money trying a bunch of different products and allow you to find the perfect item that will help you to enjoy your time outdoors.
How We Approach Testing and Content
Every review on this site comes from gear that’s actually been used, not just unboxed, photographed, and sent back. We’d rather tell you a product has a flaw than inflate a score to keep a brand relationship smooth. Without hesitation, we will always prioritize our relationship with the reader over a relationship with a brand.
How We Make Money
GearPriority is reader-supported. Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means if you click through and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. This never affects which products we choose to review or how we score them. We test gear that excites us and affiliate revenue is simply what keeps this site running so we can keep testing and writing.
