Every review on GearPriority starts with real gear tested by a real person. Here is who does it.
Justin Hick
Founder & Lead Gear Tester
Justin is a Canadian based in Calgary, Alberta, and the founder of GearPriority. Justin has been adventuring in the outdoors for his entire life and has been going on multi-day expeditions in the backcountry for over 25 years. He has been testing gear for over a decade – it is his passion. Justin particularly enjoys testing sleeping pads and has likely slept on more sleeping pads in more different conditions than anyone else in the world.
Justin is meticulous in his testing and brings his years of experience testings hundreds of different products to each review. Not only does Justin spend a lot of time testing each product to figure out its nuances, but he is able to determine how a product fits into the wider context.
